carter and chase always such good friends
after the beach we decided to have a pizza pool party! it was so yummy and fun to hang at the pool! i actually set savanna down at the edge of the kitty pool so she could put her feet in and my knee sent her flying into the pool. needless to say she was pretty skiddish around the water for the rest of the trip! sorry savvy!
we went to park day and kayla was the fun mom that brought paint for the kids to use on the sidewalk. so fun. i need to get some of that stuff!
the kids had fun playing in the backyard and had mac n cheese picnic style! carter LOVES to play w/ jeremy! they have a fun time together!
we went to the beach club one day and it was pretty hot. sherri drove up w/ her kids and laura came w/ ava. we had fun, but realized the water is kinda foul, but the kids don't seem to mind :)!

this is my bf from high school jaclyn. she moved into the rancho area a while ago and we've never hooked up so it was nice to hang out w/ her and her cute little boy jack! i can't believe that i graduated h.s. 12 years ago!
another beach day. i can't get enough! a piece of my heart will always be in huntington beach!
on sunday i took the kids to the hb ward and it was fun to see some old faces and especially fun to have 2 kids at church (w/o bren) haha. they did pretty good though and it was fun for ava, carter, chase, and anna to all go to nursery together.
these boys are so cute, after church they saw each other and gave a hug i love that they are still such good buddies!
we ate sunday dinner outside and the lucas fam come up too! always good times when food is involved!

we had a bonfire at cdm beach and it was so fun! it is always a bit of work to haul everything, but it was way fun times! next time we can't forget the guitar!

this stroller might be ridiculous in size, but it does come in handy! ava loves to sit in it and for the majority so does savanna! we kept bribing them w/ food so they would sit in there longer :)!

savanna was throwing up on the way to the gym, so we didn't end up going to hb like planned, so we laid low at the house.
jeremy got a slip n slide for his bday so we busted that out and the kids had a blast! this is carter catchin some air!

the sumans have a drum set in their garage and whenever carter gets a chance to play he's in heaven! maybe a future rock star!
this should actually be in a seperate post, but oh well. carter is officially POTTY trained! woop woop! i can't even begin to say how worried i was that it would never happen, but low and behold it did! he actually started a day before we left for the oc, and i thought crap i can't quit now, so w/ some bribing of action figures, gum, and some dollar store treats he's potty trained! this was his BIG treat, yoda's light sabor. bren wanted to be there when we bought it and since he didn't come to cali till the end of the trip every morning the first thing carter would say is "mom can i get a light saVor", needless to say after 2 weeks he got it! yeahhhhhh carter!
happy 4th of july!
we had a fun 4th! we ate and ate and went to the pool, angels game, and hung out w/ fam! what more could we ask for! we are SO blessed to live in this country and i'm so PROUD to be an american!
the sun i thought would NEVER go down. it was pretty hot and the kids did super good considering we were roastin our bums off!
annette and scott came into town to hang out w/ us for a few days! they watched the kids for us to do a day date (the day before) and we went and got pedi's (yep bren too) and went w/ josh and sherri to see hancock and go to yummy luggatti's! so fun. i can't remember the last time we went on a double date! good times.

the fire work show was fun. both kids loved it and you think w/ the masses of people leaving it would take forever to get home, but we got out in a jiffy :)! i love baseball games (even though i don't really watch). i love the environment and all the excitement! LOVE doing the wave i was a bit into it to say the least!
last beach day! so sad. love savvy in her little patriotic suit. it doesn't look that crowded yet, but by the end it was crazy!
dana set up a tent for owen and lucy loved it too. so cute :).
it was a little chilly w/ the wind so carter and i are cuddling to keep warm!
we worked up some appetites at the beach so we went to chipolte and it was actually pretty good (not my first choice of food). after that bren and the kids sat in the car, so i could go to one of my fav fabric stores (jenny's) and i found SUPER cute fabric, so an hour later and $85 out of pocket i was very successful!
that night we had a little mini bf in the sumans backyard. the kids had so much fun playing and running around! ca trips always go by WAY too fast!

Fun trip! You're brave to go it alone with 2 kids. I can hardly muster the energy to take mine to the grocery store! What am I going to do with 3?!

Your kids are soo missing the beach I bet. Im so sorry for your Hellish heat in Az. My fam is coming out for 2 weeks to escape.

Fun post....such cute pics. And it was fun to relive the 2 weeks again. Seriously, it was SO fun to have you guys here. I always feel like I'm on vacation too. Thanks for livening things up! : ) Hope you are settling in ok in AZ and not baking too much.

That was one long post! Loved all the pics! It was so fun having you guys here...glad to know you are coming again on Thursday! What are you going to do when Brennan's thing is all over? We'll have to think of other excuses to get you guys out here! :)
