we may not have carter's hulk costume yet, but we are feelin the halloween spirit! i haven't really been into halloween since i was like 12, my grandma ruth used to make me my cute little costumes and i won the primary costume show 2 times i think (cinderella & snow white). i need to look for those pics. anyway, now having a 3 yr old makes it SO much more fun. i think carter has been looking forward to it since AUGUST! he really gets excited about some things and ghosts, goblins, and dracula galore! i bought this spook cd from the dollar section at target and he wants me to explain "whose making every noise"! it's a crack up. anyway, for fam night last night we carved a pumpkin (ok mainly bren did all the work). the picture on carter's face as he put his hand in the pumpkin to pull out the "guts" was priceless! needless to say he only put his hand in once! funny kid!
our halloween pumpkin! (even though he won't last till the 31st)

no flash view

this is a way random side note, but since carter is on the brain i gotta share a funny story! a few weeks ago we went to in-n-out for lunch (it seems to be a tues ritual), and we've been working w/ carter to go pee standing up (it's SO much better than sitting) and i feel like i'm ALWAYS saying "k point your wiener down, point your wiener down". and he usually does a good job. so after he was done, i said "k mom's gonna go potty real quick" and carter made sure to let me know "point your wiener down mom". hahaha. lol. you really had to be there, but i didn't want to forget the story, so i had to put it down. thanks for keeping us laughing carter boy!

Cool pumpkin! And cute carter boy. Love the stories.
And seriously, is he Johnny from Karate Kid in those pjs???!
I remember when he told you that. Too funny. We had lots of fun. Love doing the lunch thing with you. It makes my day! And Carter is a riot!
haha! rad. love carter. your pumpkin is sweet. maybe we should carve some more while you are here.
Carter will LOVE that you shared that particular story!!!:) With Owen, I am trying to convince him that most people don't COMPLETELY undress when they have to go "sit down potty". He disagrees but adds that "most people don't have their mom's WATCH when they go potty!" Aren't 3 year olds just the funnest?!!!
HAHAHAHA! Mark and I are laughing so hard right now!
Cute pumpkins!
Communicative toddlers + public restrooms = opportune humiliation factor.
Impressive pumpkin-carving skills.

I say the same thing to my boys when they are first learning I also say "watch where you're shooting. Believe it or not, it's made for a really clean boys bathroom! I loved that you shared that and that I'm not the only one!
