here is shannan and her 3 boys davis, clay, and owen (carter had to be in the pic too :)!
savanna on the floating duck at the cute little indoor pool (she looks super stoked on it :)
carter is gonna start soccer in a couple weeks, so on sat we went to buy him some shoes, shin guards, and a ball. he looks so cute w/ all his gear on! and guess who's gonna be the coach. yep, bren is gonna be these crazy 3 yr olds coach. so fun. i'm really excited to see how it will all go down. we also, went to cute stephen's 3 yr bday party, it was pirate themed. he is such a cutie.
here is stephen and his cute little bro brady (who turns 1 on the 23rd)

i've been trying to hold out on a pedi for savvy for her 18mo, but couldn't wait any longer they were just being asked to be painted. she kept looking and ooooh-and ahhhhing them. so fun.
i may have found my hb top nails replacement (at least a place to tide me over before my next ca trip). they had SO many options to choose from and hand paint everything! very impressive and worth the $. for anyone in az, it's called quality nails off kyrene and warner in tempe.
i got karis to go w/ me. my toes are the 80's punk rock and karis's are the cute green ones!
we got an invite to a ufc party (bren's fav fight show) i went more for the social aspect. anyway, the kids were holding hands in the back, it was so sweet :) seriously love these two.
on another note, lately it seems like such tragic things have been happening around me that has really caused me to reflect and be thankful for my family and friends. a member in our ward was killed in a car crash early this morning on his way home from l.a. and his wife is 35 weeks preg w/ their 3rd child. in an instant everything has changed for them. i don't know the family well, but my heart truly goes out to them and hope they realize how many people are praying for their family and care for them. it's good to be reminded that i'm so blessed to have a happy family and wonderful husband and the BEST kids ever (even though i forget that from time to time :). i'm grateful for this gospel and that there is a plan for us. we can be together forever and i'm so happy to know that. i love my family and just want you guys to know that.

Life is precious, and unpredictable. Death can happen to anyone at anytime. I think we forget that as we go about life until events like this happen.
I love you and am grateful that we are sealed together forever. Hopefully you can always forgive me of my shortcomings.
Fun update post.
And wow, what a tragedy. It's hard to hear those sorts of things but as you said, it really makes you appreciate all the blessings you have.
I'm so sorry to hear about that family in your ward. That is so tragic. It's a good reminder to cherish those around you and to really keep things in perspective.
I love Carter's huge "cheese" in that first pic. So cute!! Awesome that Brennan will be his coach! How cute is that!! I want to see pics of Carter in his uniform. Cute toes!
fun days! I wish Makenna would hold still enough so I could paint her nails... maybe I should focus on making sure mine are done every once in awhile!
Thanks for the reminder of how valuable life is!
Awe...sad times. I hate hearing about stuff like that but I guess like you said it's a good reminder for us to be grateful for what we have and the time we have to spend with the people we love.
I'm glad you got to spend time with Shannan and at the pool. Looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see you soon.
Cute toes. And yes, we do have to cherish all our little moments while we have them together! Great post!
Wouldn't it be nice if we could remember and cherish our blessings enough that we wouldn't need those tragic reminders? It's hard sometimes though...
Cute pictures of cute kids!
That is sooo sad. It does seem like these things keep happening. I have been thinking the same lately of how important my family is to me. I am so glad that we have eachother and can be together forever. I wouldn't want it any other way. Sorry to hear about that. I hope you are o.k.
I just tried QV Nails by Basha's...they have all the fun designs and hand paint them as well. I don't know how they compare in cost to the one in Tempe, but it sure is a heck of a lot closer!
I hate hearing such tragic news. It really makes you realize how much you have to be grateful for! Thanks for the reminder! Cute pics...Carter & Savanna are so precious! So fun that they love each other so much! Savvy is getting so big!...and blonde! We need to see you guys, when is your next HB trip? We are probably headed to Phx for Halloween...we should finally meet up!
By the way...we are doing okay adjusting to two! It is a bit rough at times, but I LOVE my girls! I can't imagine 3 yet...maybe a year or so from now! :) So, are you getting ready for a third??????

So sorry to hear about that family in your ward, that is so tragic. I'm so glad and thankful that we are all so close in this great family. We have such an awesome family!! I love my cute little family and all of you guys so much.
Cute, cute toes...you, Karis, and Savvy!!!
I love this post. It shows all aspects of life. First of all, I love the pedi on Savvy! I still haven't painted Addi's toes... maybe tomorrow.
And I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor. Sooo sad! I can't imagine. Things like that definitely put things into perspective, even if you're an outsider looking in.
