labor day fun!

since we've moved out to az, i wanted to think of a way to get some of our fam to come out and visit, so what better way than to throw a labor day party! we had some fam stay w/ us and other's stayed at karis and marty's, and the eisenbise fam stayed w/ bryan's sister. not to mention all the fam that already lives here. my dad even bought and rebought his ticket to come out because he's so stinken busy w/ tax time he had to change his ticket 80 times. it was fun to have so many come for a visit and to see our new home. those that didn't get to come were missed:( but yeah for thanksgivin in az!

anyway, here are some dets of the weekend. after dana, lucy, laura, and ava all flew in about 15 or so of us meet up at the rio for lunch. yum yum. my cousin debbie hooked us all up w/ buy 1 get one free, so that made the food even taste better! after that me, laura, ava, and mere went to the chandler mall to keep cool. ahhhh! i finally found some brown crocs i'd been lookin for for carter. later that night, bren left to pick up scrub from the airport and left me to burn the chicken and hot dogs on our new bomb grill, but the food still tasted super good w/ black all over it. all the girls were craving cold stone, so we left to chase one down for an hour and luckily they were nice and let us in at 11pm! more yum!

the next day we went to a fun pool in chandler that is our new fav spot for the weekend, since no other pools are open anymore. it was fun for all ages! After that is was time to come back and get ready for the bbq at our house. with lots of help from everyone it worked out perfect. we had burgers and all the fixins, pasta salad, baked beans, and lots of dessert! i was surprised when i realized we had over 45 guests for the party! love having people over.

sunday, we are lucky to still have the 8am time slot, so that was fun to bring our fam to our new ward. craig and dawna had us all over for a huge dinner w/ meat & potatoes that evening. yum yum! thanks guys! then we came back to our house and played taboo and scategories. fun times. most of us chatted until 230 in the am and then bren, scrub, and laura watched some of the office on the net. monday everyone was flying back home or driving, so sad to see everyone go, but hopefully we'll go back to the oc soon. it was so great having fam stay w/ us and make a sacrifice in coming! thanks you guys! we had a blast! and the weather wasn't that bad only around 105 or so! here are some pics from the weekend. thanks to laura, since i didn't take one pic the whole weekend! also, thanks laura for the hb sand! now all my shells, starfish, and sand dollars look so cute w/ the sand from home!
