after we had company leave over labor day, carter was obsessed w/ sleeping in the aero bed in his room instead of the crib. at first i didn't want to deal w/ him getting in and out (not that he couldn't get out of his crib he'd been climbing out ever since may), but he never moved once (except for when he fell off during a nap), so after about 2 weeks of him sleeping solid in the aero bed we decided to go to ikea and get him a bunk bed set b/c what boy doesn't eventually want a bunk bed and the bed from pottery barn that i really wanted was a tad out of our price range :(. anyway, we set it up a couple of days ago and i got a little sad when his crib was all taken down. time really does fly by too fast. so i put together some pics of him in his crib over the past 2 1/2 years! i'm a nerdy mom what can i say. i must say that my patience w/ carter runs on thin ice sometimes, but then he can be soooo FREAKIN cute that i'm reminded how much i love him and how fun his little personality is. he loves his sister to pieces and can't wait for her to chase him around and he loves his daddy so much that when i see them together i get teary eyed sometimes! i never thought having a boy would be sooooo awesome! i love you carter and i can't EVEN imagine life w/ out you!

what cute pictures! i'm so glad he is sleeping well in the big bed. i can't even imagine that day ever coming but i am sure it'll be here sooner then i think. he looks so tiny in there! ha ha. it's really fun. yeah carter!
um, isn't that the same bunkbed you had in HB??? Too bad you gave it away, right? :)
Cute to see him in a real bed. I'm glad he's liking it so far!
Too stinkin cute! I love that last one of him in that big big bed!!!!They just grow up in a wink of an eye don't they!
That is such a cute slideshow!! That boy grew up so fast! Love the bunkbed...we'll probably have to do that someday seeing as we will probably still be living in the same 1000 sq. feet with 4 kids! Maybe we'll have 2 bunkbeds in the kids room...that would work! :)
