man am i sooo thankful for the internet. we haven't had access to it since we've lived here (which has already felt like an eternity). we haven't had any cable either, so i think we've both been going a little stir crazy. i've gone to bed bath & beyond, walmart, target, linens n things, pier 1, ross, michaels, home depot, and back about 80 times, but other than that and trying to get a handle on all our boxes it's been a little crazy here. karen took carter for the day on tuesday, so we could try to bust out the kitchen and other things and that was so nice to get the kitchen all unloaded. i love our kitchen it's awesome! i have room to cook! carter started running a temp of 102 & 103 for the next few days, so it was a major bummer. he was so lifeless. i hate when kids get sick. this week has just seemed a little twilight zoney. i have been wandering from room to room and sitting down and then moving to the next room to contemplate some more. it's funny you would think we moved to this massive house or something, but when you get used to basically having one room to hang out in and now we have several rooms to hang in it's a little weird. the weather is hot and no one is outside, it's really irry. it's monsoon season here too, so the rain is crazy and it's still over 100 outside while it's raining. the other night we were watching a movie and the power went out for so long we ended up going to bed. it probably sounds like i'm being pretty negative of az, but there are a few pros so far: i LOVE our house, we have fam that lives here, there is a cafe rio, all those shops i've been to are only 1 to 2 miles away, and it looks like a lot of our neighbors are in our ward, so hopefully we'll make some good new friends.
since carter has been sick we really haven't done too much playing outside, so today we went to the pool over in chandler and karen, karis, and her kids met up with us so that was way fun to get out and have some fun in the sun. it was only 97' degrees when we got there, so it felt pretty good. that sounds so funny, but it really wasn't too bad. i haven't seen it below 102 since we've been here. savvy had her first pool experience today and she is a water baby! yeahhhh. hopefully, she'll stay that way. she was loving the pool and carter had a blast too. we will definetly go back soon!
this was carter chillin on the couch for 3 days

this shows a good little view of the pool

the water felt great!

savvy's found her fingers and loves them!

I'm so happy you guys are alive and that you love your house! Yes, the first week of moving is so weird. No internet/tv/connection to the world. Twighlight zone is the perfect description.
Poor little Carter boy. I'm glad he's feeling better. And I'm glad you went to that cool pool! I'm sure there will be tons of fun things like that over there.
Congrats on making it your first week :)!
It's so good to finally hear from you guys! Glad to know everything is well and you are starting to adjust!! AZ is definitely good for shopping...and they have lots of fun pools and water parks...plus, give it a few months and you'll love the weather, too! :) Miss you guys!!!!
