i think i sang that song in my head everyday the week we were packing all our stuff up. and it still is playing in my head. dorky. but we are gone and i can't believe we now live in arizona. last thursday, the sumans had a little going away party for us at their house. laura and sherri made a bunch of yummy treats (thanks) and there was a bunch of people from our complex and other friends stopped to say byeee! the van orman family moved too and joined in on the party also. i really hate goodbyes. no fun. but it was fun chatting and takin pics of the kids n stuff. here are some pics of that night.

friday, july 13th we moved from the good ole mora kai. we didn't have too much done and had to do it by that night, so thanks to several helpers we finished around 11pm! brennan and i reflected on our 3 years living there and both started to bawl our eyes out in the parking lot! it was very sad. so many mems and good times. and realizing we had our 2 kids there and how life is about to change in a lot of ways. after getting a grip on ourselves, eric, laura, and ava came out to take some pics and captured the moment perfectly.
our 26 foot uhaul truck

brennan drove the big dog like a champ

yep, that's me bawlin my eyes out

we then drove up to my dad's house to stay the night and take off to az in the morning. savanna wanted to wake up every hour so i was very tired the next morning, but luckily brennan did the driving. we took savvy with us in the moving truck and my dad and karen drove our pilot with carter later that afternoon (thanks so much you guys!). it actually was a very short drive over and the a/c was working great. it was a pretty quiet drive down, i think we both just had a lot on our minds. anyway, we got in around 3 in the afternoon and at 5 we had people from our new ward over, and tons of family came to help out! it was so nice. they unloaded the truck in 45 minutes. sorry to those who helped load the truck that took over 4 hours! here is a cute pic of the kids hangin in the truck. carter loved playing in it and didn't want us to take it back.
look at all these blondies!

Thanks for posting info on your move. I was wondering how it all went down. It's always hard to say goodbye, for sure. I still remember bawling in my car when I moved from Provo. I was ready to move on, but it was sad to think of the times left behind.
I'm sure that soon enough, you'll have a house full of fun friends. And you'll have even more room for even more friends! (sorry for the Pollyanna comments).
Welcome to AZ!

keep counting.....
