we thought it would be fun to have a cinco de mayo party, but we wanted to do a babysit trade over the weekend, so we changed it to a "tres de mayo" party. anyway, we had it at eric and laura's house and the eisenbise family came and the lucas family came. we had a good time. we ate shredded chicken tacos, bean dip, and spanish rice for dinner. then for dessert we had yummy churros from costco and fried ice cream. oh and we bought these fun mexican drinks called jarritos. we also had fun spanish music in the background called buena vista social club (eric said they are really cuban), but we were creating a fun atmosphere. obviously not too authentic, but fun. brennan surprised us with a pinata and the kids had fun hitting it around. so since it turned out to be a fun little night we decided we are gonna start a cinco de mayo tradition. good times!~

Your party looks muy fun! I'm sorry we missed. Casey loves everything you served (esp the Jarritos) and I love Buena Vista Social club (and I love hanging with all of you, of course). We'll have to come next year....in AZ, I suppose. Fun party!
