paradise!

we really wanted to do something fun for labor day weekend, since carter had no school and bren didn't have to work.  we got an opportunity to stay at a beautiful beach front house in rocky point, so we jumped on it!  we had to get gavin and savanna's birth certificate w/in a couple of days of going, so it was a little crazy, but we got all the docs in time and were able to go.  i'd heard some horror stories and was a bit nervous to take our 3 kids there, but rest assured it wasn't scary at all.  the people were super nice and helpful (even when i couldn't speak any spanish and they couldn't speak any english :).  thanks SO much robyn!  we had the BEST time.  we didn't ever wanna leave!

we got into town really late, so we didn't see much, so the next day we went exploring and drove around the small town.  we went to a yummy pizza place and savanna slept the whole time!

we wanted to take the kids for a walk at sunset, they loved playing in the canoe even though they didn't dare go in it in the water!

LOVE the tide pools, the water goes out forever and then you can walk around and explore and find hermet crabs, snails, fish, shells etc.

the fam

the kids ended up practically naked.....

how cute is that bum?!

the next day carter and i saw a man walking his horses, come to find out his name is antonio and he gives horseback rides for 5 bucks!  we watched for him the rest of the day, but never saw him again.  bummer.

yes that is ME in the water!  and i loved it!  totally warm and not too sea weedy.

another beautiful sunset, this place is amazing!

a view of our awesome house!

this pic was taken around 7am, just to show how far out the water goes

this pic was taken around 12 and shows how fast the water comes in!
