summer trip to slc and island park

i'm trying to get all caught up, so now for our summer trip to ut.  we had a really fun time.  lots and lots of driving, but we made it fun along the way.  we stayed at a cute little hotel in vegas and then went swimming and played and then got up the next morning to finish out the drive.  when we got into town the kids had been cooped up in the car too long, so they got to play in the hot tub while we all ate cafe rio on the balcony.  annette and scott seriously have the best view of the slc valley.  love it.  then the next day we left for island park!  we love it up there.  it's SO beautiful there and the weather was dreamy 70's and chilly at night! 

when we get into town it's kinda tradition to go to big springs and see and feed some fish

the next morning we went frog hunting and found 3 frogs (we didn't really eat um)

gavin was a crack up he kept digging in the bucket trying to pull the frogs out

we went to west yellowstone and saw good old faithful

we took a dip in fire hole river the water was a tad chilly, but no one seemed to mind.  carter is showing off his swimming skills.  he's a pro now!

savanna was a FREAK when we first took her on the boat, but after a couple minutes she didn't ever want to get off!

carter was such a big boy and rode behind the boat on the banana float!

we got to spend a little time w/ my aunt kari in cedar hills, and then headed down to provo to see the millers and the blairs.  always good times.  sad to think the millers are moving to florida!  we'll miss those visits!

the girls were quick to put on some dress ups (and even gavin got to wear a little vest)

since it was almost the 24th of july they were selling fireworks everywhere.  the kids had a blast watching them and playing w/ the sparklers!

we had been so busy the kids fell asleep in like 2 minutes

the next day we drove up to ogden to this fun little place to go fishing, gavin has no fear

the finish of the trip we got to go to raging waters (no pics) and then everyone went to the rodeo (i was sick) and the kids had a blast!  we love visiting ut and getting to see fun friends and family!  too bad we don't get to see everyone!  next time!
