we just got back from a huge trip! so fun, but now i'm SO tired. phew. we started our trip by going to utah to stay w/ bren's parents in slc. this was the first time we've done that drive w/ kids, but they were troopers. the bummer was when we got there around 1am they were up till 4am! then for new year's we headed to the oc to stay w/ my fam. fun times all around. we miss everyone already! there are a million pics to tell of our travels.

christmas day we headed to the marriott in park city for a couple days. we went sledding up there and had soooo much fun! this is carter going on a run by himself. i was kinda nervous.

he loved every minute of it

it was so fun to be outside in freezing weather and be in a hot tub :).

we took a sleigh ride up to this cute little cabin and had dinner. the kids loved being in the sleigh and got to sit on one of the horses! thanks gma and gpa scott!

we went to temple square and it was a whopping 13 degrees outside! brrrrrr!

on mon night we got to go visit w/ bren's good friends from elementary up to high school

tuesday we headed down towards provo. and along the way we stopped to see my gma in lindon. we hadn't seen her in 4 years because she's lived back east so, it was fun to see her again.

when we got to the miller's house the kids made themselves comfortable and had a blast playing w/ eachother. us adults had pizza, played some rockband, and chatted it up for a bit. good times. we always love being able to go visit provo. such good mems of living down there back in the day! (thanks kam for the pics).




it snowed all day mon and then snowed as we were packing up on tues, so the kids got to play in the snow and have a blast!

on new year's eve we partied it up at bill and cindy's house. i think we need to have every year be the ugly sweater theme. missed that this year :)!

on new year's day we went to newport. it was a beautiful 75 degree weather day! after the beach we headed to the new cafe rio on el toro. it was kinda weird having a "utah thing" in ca, but it was still way yummy!

we were watching this man catch a fish and along came this seal and snatched it off the line! he was beggin for more.

this little baby boy turned 4months old on the 26th of dec. i can't believe he's already that big! he is such a sweet baby and fun to have around. the kids are SO in love w/ him and can't wait for him to get bigger. gavin smiles all the time and is getting so close to rolling over. he sucks on his fingers or anything he can! i think he's teething. he's eating 7 ounces every 4 hours. he is our special boy! we love you baby boy!

on sat night we had a big family bbq and had the lucas fam come up and hang out! always such a fun time!
