christmas eve we went caroling to a couple fire houses. it's something we've been doing forever! it's especially fun now w/ kids.

we had a new year's eve celebration for the kids at 8 and the kids had a blast dancing around! thanks to some yo gabba tunes!

we had an ugly sweater party for the adults and it was really fun! we did "fun-do". played some fun games and chatted. it doesn't get much better than that.

on new years we went down to balboa and had a pic-nic and rode this bike. it was cold, but fun to ride along the beach and see the super cute houses (and pick which ones we'd like to live in one day).

on another note, i have to say that the holiday was ALL about rock band! i'm sold. i don't think bren realizes how sold i really am. remember my bday is only a few days away honey! everyone enjoyed the good times! kids, us, the grandparents! everyone was having fun! i see rock band parties at the bates in the near future.....

yeah!! cute pics. i love the one of carter on the chaise lounge. so funny. sucks that you've been sick. maybe after cali you're always just worn down so you catch things easier. i'm glad you're back to the gym though and hopefully everyone is doing better.

Hi to the "Wandering Bates" family. Those fun Christmas evening nights are awesome. The rescuers need a rescue now and then and they absolutely appreciate it. You guys always have the best trips to california. i loved seeing you guys at the wedding too. sorry we didn't get to chat more. it was a great day and they really are so happy and will do great things together. don't you just love that red dress? Savanna looks so cute in it too :o)
