vegas baby!
so brennan had a seminar in vegas over the weekend, so i decided to tag along and my mother in law annette offered to watch the kids, so we were kid free! it was great slash the fact that we missed them soooo much! it was the first time leaving savanna, but both kids did great for grandma and aunt reva! this was the first adventure driving from az to vegas, so we didn't know what to expect at all on the drive, but it was a fun new road trip! when we got in we checked into our hotel (thanks char for the marriott hook up)! then we went to a yummy buffet at the mirage and hit a couple of slots (go wheel of fortune)! then time for bed and bren had a seminar all day on sat, so that left me to fend for myself. i slept in, worked out, and i took the monorail to the strip and started at one end and went to the other. i hit up tons of stores, but no luck on anything i was lookin for, but hey i didn't have kids so i was in no hurry! bren was supposed to be done w/ his seminar by 7 and we had tickets to see mamma mia at the mandalay bay at 10! we went to another buffet there and the food was yummy too! i think i'm good on food for a while, but hey it's vegas right! k if you haven't seen the show mamma mia (the songs are from abba's greatest hits) it is sooooo much fun! i wanted to sing the whole show and luckily for me at the very end they all come out and sing 3 fun songs, so i was singin at the top of my lungs telling bren this is the BEST part! love love love it! the next day bren had the rest of his seminar and i slept in, read, watched a little tlc, and then we took off to come back to az. it was a really quick trip, but we did so much and had such a great time! it was fun to have some alone time with my honey and have some fun fun fun! thanks again annette for watching the kids! i was so bummed i forgot my camera, so pics off the internet will have to do!

Fun times! I love the internet pictures (bummer you forgot your camera though!) Sounds like you had a blast and like you said, good to get away with just your husband. I saw Mama Mia a few years ago and yea, it's fun!
I'm glad you found fun stuff to entertain yourself while Brenn was at the conference. It's weird, some people left comments on my blog about my SD trip saying "I can't believe you entertained yourself for a couple days. I wouldn't know what to do."
So weird to me! It's like...um...you have no kids with you?? Sleep in and watch TV if you can't think of anything at all!

Yay -- fun little vacation!
It sounds like we're headed to AZ the Saturday before Easter to spend Cooper's spring break somewhere it's not snowing! We should all try and get together -- haven't seen all you guys in a while (well, Aaron has, but Granner's funeral hardly counts!) I know that Kathy is chatting w/ Craig about details, so hopefully something will work out!

I LOVED Mama Mia! It sounds like you had a great Vegas weekend just for the 2 of you. I'm still waiting for my own get away that hasn't happened since we've been married :(
SO NICE! How fun to have some time away from the kiddies! My parents took meredith for just a day so Robert and I could escape to San diego and it was so great! We are definitely going to have to do it again before baby #2 comes! Your kids are so cute, it was fun to look at pics since I haven't seen you guys in awhile! Can't wait to see you in person in April!!

What a fun trip Rachael. I had no idea you went to Vegas and back. Good for you guys having a getaway without the kiddos! I love Mamma Mia too. It is so good. We have the soundtrack and sing along to it all the time. :) I'm glad you had fun!
How fun!!! I am so jealous, I need a little vacation in my life! You really gotta live it up when there is someone to babysit the kiddies! Way to go!
