saturday fun!

when we were driving back from ca last weekend we saw a sign for the az fair, so we decided to take the kids yesterday. it was really fun. i thought we would be there for a couple hours tops, but we stayed there for over 4 hours (not to mention the HOUR i waited for them to go to the bank and park the car) thanks scrub for talking to me on the phone forever! k back to the fair. right away we went to the petting zoo area where you could feed a zebra, camel, ostriches, goats, turkey, mini horse, pigs, etc. it was soooo cool and carter loved feeding the animals (he got a little freaked when a turkey tried to bite his hand off, but he worked it out). i was telling bren it's so fun doing things again thru our kids eyes. it's so much more fun than when i went to the fair in 7th grade w/ my bf (haha) and thru up after the ghetto rides! anyway, we ate some yummy food and just enjoyed being there. then we left and tried to rent a vid, but since nothin's out we drove to oregano's for dinner. a yummy italian restaurant bren had never been before. it's got a crazy wait, but a fun place to go. then we came home put the kids to bed and ended the night watching click. what a fun saturday!
carter feeding the goat. i love how you can see the goats tongue! nasty!

carter feeding the "mini" horse

we went to this fake safari area where kids could ride these stuffed animals, and they had a bounce area carter was running all over the place, it was a way fun area for the kids to just be a kid.

they had a little race area where you could ride these cool little toys. we were tempted to get one, but we got to work on riding the trike first!

k this is a p.s. note for halloween! i figured since it's almost thanks, i would just note that we had a fun halloween and carter LOVED going trick or treating w/ daddy and some of the other kids in the ward. we also had a little chili and cornbread cook out w/ some friends that live behind us.

p.p.s this is sort of sad, but since savanna is getting close to her 8mo post, i'm posting her 7 mo here. she has seriously been such a blessing in our home. i can't imagine life w/o her! she just makes me smile. we still haven't found a ped, so i don't know her stats, but she is a kid on the move. she is all over the place now! and she puts EVERYTHING in her mouth! she has literally made my heart drop twice from choking! ahhhhhh! one of her bottom teeth has finally broke thru the skin and it is so cute when she smiles. she loves to laugh w/ carter and is always such a delight. i was telling bren last night that i just feel freakin LUCKY to have such a sweet baby girl! there is just such a special bond w/ a girl! we love you little savanna rae!

The little fair looks so fun. I agree, it's way more fun doing those things with kids around...just like going swimming, opening Christmas presents, eating at Chuck E. Cheese?
I love that smiling picture of Savanna. She is a cute cute girl. I'm glad you have a little girl too!

Savanna is so cute! I loved the halloween costumes they were so cute. I love the lion outfit on carter. Saxon is like savanna in that he chokes all the time and tries to eat everything in his sight! Very annoying at times!
